“Most people will be drawn to listen to this podcast due to interest in Roman History or a desire to learn more about something they slept through in school. Rob and Jamie do a fantastic job of delivering great information while keeping the listener entertained through comedy.
However, I want to make it known that in light of recent political developments, we would all be better served at looking at the history of some of the world's most famous emperors (and some hilariously anonymous ones) through a modern lense. In preparation for a world dominated by an insane buffoonish autocrat, perhaps we should all go back and listen to certain episodes to avoid nasty surprises. Might I suggest Commodus or Caligula?
