“This podcast was recommended from my class that I am taking this semester and I found it very interesting! I listened to the 2 part series, Sanity c ABCT What to Do About Worry With Dr. Robert Leahy. In this series they talk about worry and how it is apart of everyone lives and how it can effect people positively and negatively. Something that stood out to me was the important of understanding the different of productive worrying and unproductive worrying. When Dr. Leahy explained the different it brought light to the issue of people worrying about things that are out of there control which could have negative effects on one’s mental health. In the podcast they spoke about how worry was a root of many disorders and this leads to having General anxiety disorder. Being able to train and educate people on worrying invention can be very helpful in some situations. For example like worries can cause anxiety, if specific worrying were confront and addressed it can decrease one’s anxiety but decreasing the fear. Information about this topic is every useful in the field of psychology, especially when trying to understand the best route to help someone with these struggles. This podcast was so informative and keep me very interested in the topic because it was so well delivered!”
