Some good info, but so far hard to listen to.
Give this one a while to come into its own. Science jumps into the podcasting race with an offering that seems to be similar to Nature's podcast. However, Nature went with a real radio personality as host, where science used members of their staff. Unfortunately, these hosts need some "radio lessons." Their delivery is so obviously scripted that they sometimes sound like people uncomfortably giving speeches. When interviewing, their scripted questions (and sometimes scripted answers -- if the whole thing is scripted, it isn't an interview!) miss opportunities to expand upon really interesting points the guests make. The information is good, but the assumed science literacy of the audience is different from segment to segment. They've only done a couple of shows, but at this point I wouldn't listen regularly. They are a good journal, so with work, they will probably have a good podcast.Read full review »

Having the time to read is one of the hardest things to come by in science. That’s why I appreciate content like this podcast that can give us the information in a format we can listen to while driving or waiting in lines. Just a great service!
