Great Collection!
I've never really been into short stories, they either fall into trouble with the endings, you can't warm up to the characters or the author tries to go for something they just can't fit into the short story format. None of these problems happen with Serving Worlds. John worked the characters perfectly so you got just enough of them to either cheer for them or hope they die a horrible death. The stories has some very interesting concepts, but nothing that couldn't fit into the 20-80 minute (4 episodes at 20 minutes) format while still keeping you entertained and the ending never left you thinking that the autor just gave up or rushed it to finish the story. I have heard quite a few times that short stories are actually harder to write compared to full length, so if John can do this well with the harder format I really can't wait for his first full length novel! Update......With the addition of John feature full length novel Enemy Lines, you'd be a fool not to subscribe to this podcast. Enemy lines is an amazing futuristic story with aliens, secret government agencies, greedy multinational companies....the works. Along with John's created by god, perfect for audio, buttery smooth voice, this story is a must listen.Read full review »

This is a great episodic audiobook with some layered storytelling. It even improves with multiple listenings. It's well worth the time to hear this one.
