“This podcast did take some adjusting for me because it isn’t as professional and polished as others out there, but honestly, the relaxed nature of it has actually proved to be more effective for me. Because they’re having a more free-flowing discussion, it feels like I’m talking to a friend or someone in my life with more financial know-how, and it allows me to reflect on things as I would in a normal conversation. It is information-packed but it doesn’t feel that way and I find I stay very engaged, more than I would with something more structured or scripted. What Trevor just said about the his amazon cart being full, sleeping on it, then waking up and wondering, “what the heck was I thinking?!” I’ve definitely been there. Delaying purchases can be so important for this reason. Anyway, I do really enjoy the podcast. There are a lot of really important issues and experiences that get discussed on this show… and I find it pretty effective for my own personal finance headspace to be exposed to these kinds of conversations.”
