I listened to 1 single episode and had to stop. Not only was the program material and content all over the place, but it offered no specific financial concept take aways, examples based on data, or strategies other than what is already common knowledge. The worst part is the main male speaker...Read full review »

While the intents and motives behind this all-canadian personal finance podcast are noble in nature, the delivery certainly feels a tad outdated. In the ‘me too’ era we find ourselves in, there is no longer a place for a podcast where the man speaks for 90-95% of the air time while the woman...Read full review »

I love getting motivated by podcasts to be careful with my finances, but I find the main contributor in this one to be very narrow-minded. He only ever offers his personal life-experience versus data that’s worked for others. I get tired about hearing the used mini-can story. He argues and cuts...Read full review »

Trevor’s insight and his views on finance is a game changer! My family and I thank you for the lasting impact you have made in our life!!!

I think a general speaking skills brush-up would help this podcast. And editing out mistakes. It’s difficult to listen to “phe-nom-nom” instead of phenomenon and “I seen this” instead of “I saw this”. Kind of important stuff when there’s just speech

Courtney and Trevor give lots of good information, without talking down to the audience. A lot of it is based on Trevor's personal experience and I feel he does a good job explaining his mindset. I really appreciate the descriptions for each episode, which are a good summary of the points...Read full review »

I don’t understand how some people just see the neg side and leave out the positive ones to just write bad reviews. What you need to understand is no matter how much you know about most of the subject they are sharing, there is still some added value that you might learn if you listen to it....Read full review »

I liked this podcast at first but the more I listened, the more I had to turn it off before it ended. Trevor has designed a podcast to give him an ego boost - Courtney and Trevor could have an interesting dialogue but she is clearly only there to boost his ego “I loooove that, that is perfect, I...Read full review »

The gentleman hosting the podcast takes so many breaks in his thoughts that it’s just not a flowing speaking style. In a conversation grab your attention but when it’s every 3-5 words it becomes a major distraction. I think he’s trying to think too much about what he’s saying he’s taking too...Read full review »

I appreciate Trevor and Courtney’s enthusiasm for the topic area - it really comes through. I like the diversity of topics they cover. I think a bit more research could be woven it, and Courtney could work on posing clear and concise questions (sometimes it’s a bit hard to follow because of the...Read full review »

The advice is generally good but this podcast is lacking real substance. The female host has trouble formulating her thoughts, suffers from vocal fry, and seems to change direction half way through sentences. She also occasionally smacks her lips. She sucks overall. Great podcast for helping you discover your financial goals and dial in the actions that are going to help you get there! Very applicable to most people regardless of age or income and presented in a kind, nonjudgmental way.

The secret to FI is “obvious, basic and general common sense”. I’m glad the message is getting out there 🙂

Trevor and Courtney have clearly stated the issues they are tackling in this podcast. They are focusing on the source of money problems including daily habits, mindsets, life activities, etc. I love the perspective they are talking from.

I saw a review that credited this ludicrous podcast with serving them with PTSD and I second that. Trevor sounds like an utterly pretentious douche and the girl is painfully annoying. The hosts come across as very genuine and likeable people. They sometimes stray from personal finance advice into general life advice, but it’s all well worth listening to. Not just for Canadians either - I’m an Aussie, and 99% of what they talk about is just as relevant here.

This podcast is great. I listened to several episodes. I stopped listening to it because I am so frugal and so I pick and choose the episodes that seem interesting. The episodes are about saving money. I am currently interested in how to increase income. Non-frugal people who have heard it find...Read full review »

I love this podcast. The hosts are friendly and genuine and they offer a lot of good advice. A heads up, the female host has quite a lot of ‘vocal fry’ but I still love her! Thanks for the podcast! :)

This podcast did take some adjusting for me because it isn’t as professional and polished as others out there, but honestly, the relaxed nature of it has actually proved to be more effective for me. The episode that made me write this review was entitled “How to Budget”. Unfortunately they kept focusing on the why which was the previous show. Some good content and the male host has a lot of insights in money stuff, but the hosts’ recurring “ee...eee....eeee.....”, exasperated sighs, and sudden twists in direction of thought trains get downright irritating. The "Should Teenagers Work" episode was so annoying my whole family were yelling at me to turn it off in the car. Solid content and Trevor has great comments and advice, but the girl (sorry don’t know her name) really kills the flow of the podcast. I really wanted to like this podcast, being Canada specific. But there’s very little of worth here. Lots of spendy excuses from Trevor and very Urban Ontario centric.

When I listen to a podcast, I do expect the presenters to want to convey valuable information. This just felt like I was listening to a few people chat endlessly without providing any real value. There’s plenty of financial podcasts out there and I’ll be listening to any of those over this one.
Stephiipkmn via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 04/17/18
Whoever the new third presenter is really needs to go back to school. I listed to an episode the other day and the guy said ‘like’ 5 times in one sentence! Sentences aren’t meant to be started ‘it’s like’ or throwing ‘like’ in every pause. Absolutely unbelievable.
