I simultaneously love that MIT makes these lectures available and hate that David Jerison is the one they decided to film. He often leaves key steps out of fundamental proofs. He has a tendency to take a basically simple concept and introduce confusion simply by not bothering to explain key steps...Read full review »

Some of the lectures are missing but I realized that was because those were exam days.

How thankful I am that MIT is so generous with their resources. Anyone who rated <5 needs to recognize that they do not need to do this... Thank you very much Dr. Jerison, thank you MIT, and thank you to everyone who has donated to help make this a reality.

This is a very great series of lectures. For any of you wondering why there are gaps in the lecture, it is because there was a test that day and there was no lecture. Please visit the MIT OCW main website if you really want to have ALL of the material available.

First of all, MIT's OCW is a great resource and these taped lectures are awesome learning tools. I took Advanced Placement Calculus BC in high school and I'm reviewing for placements tests. I've found that this professor is a little bit difficult to follow at times and his notations and...Read full review »

This is a fantastic lecture series and course in calculus of a single variable - it works even better if you access the homework and exams that are posted as part of the open courseware. I'm a second year calculus student in high school, and this has served beautifully as a review series....Read full review »

Oldece via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 12/03/10
These are some of the clearest explanations I've seen of these concepts. Add to that the ability to pause or rewind and view clearly displayed formulas on the chalkboard and I feel like I'm grasping this subject fully for the first time.
