“Valerie and Alison make charming and engaging hosts. They are happy to share with each other and the listener their ideas and thoughts, and some of their daily writing life. They guests they interview are always interesting. The show is packed with helpful hints and tips for writers of all genres. I think they do a great job. But I do wish they would get better microphones. It's very obvious that they are not in the same physical space when they do the podcast, Valerie sounds like she's talking through a tin can and Alison's voice is all about the bass.
