“I wish that I had listened to this podcast when it was live because I would have written in all the time. Such interesting conversation! I listened to several episodes of another podcast that basically read the Silmarillion as scripture. As someone who doesn’t even read scripture as scripture, it felt very preachy to me. Here the hosts have the freedom to consider the good and the bad in the stories as well as issues arising from narrator perspective (i.e. the elves). Only a couple episodes in but really looking forward to the rest.”
