5 star content, 2 star audio quality
I feel sad writing this because the effort, intent and storyline is solid. But it's like when you turn in a presentation and suddenly realize it has this Major Fatal Flaw. The sound quality is simply abysmal. And in this medium, that's all you have. The ability to tell the story through sound. The pod should be pulled, re recorded and relaunched. It's like watching a documentary where the film often goes dark. Tinny, difficult to understand, nails on a chalkboard audio for half the podcast. A great tale gets lost in translation. And when the episode notes apologize for the quality, that's a major problem. The issue was known and should have been addressed (re-recorded, digitally adjusted) before broadcast.Read full review »

The recordings of several people’s interviews is painful to listen to. The narrative is compelling, but I wonder why the quality of recordings is so bad. So many clips in these episodes have audio quality that is not only poor, but pretty painful to listen to with headphones... Although she apologises for them, I think it’s kind of careless on the part of the host to still include them, and wish she had of re-recorded or removed those...Read full review »
