“Andrew Marr is one of the BBC's finest: his generous, intelligent and enthusiatic approach towards his guest's subjects means every episode is beyond the sum of its parts. The varied subjects gains from the interchange of ideas from intelligent guests put thouroughly at their ease. You also feel he has read and thought about all of their ideas. This is in stark contrast to the domineering and stifling tone of Melvyn Bragg in his In Our Time slots. Equally interesting guests and subjects are here bullied and mis-handled by a man with less curiosity and more ego. Shows how much difference a presenter makes.”Read full review »
