Didn't do it for me
I enjoyed Life. After, however Steal the Stars doesn't have the necessary plot, mystery or characters to keep me listening. After five episodes, I'm still not certain what the core narrative is. The story of the mysterious government base hasn't progressed enough, leaving us with the forbidden love story. But why exactly are these two in love? Their relationship came out of nowhere, lacks chemistry, and yet is supposed to drive the plot. The voiceover is an intriguing device, but it doesn't serve much of a purpose other than exposition. Life. After and the Message were podcasts with tight, condensed loglines and concepts. Steal the Stars is too spread out to really turn into a rewarding listen.Read full review »
