15 months off of Instagram and TikTok after tripling my follower count and going viral multiple times. I was just at the beginning of my social media success and I decided to delete it all! Here I’m sharing … the journey of going viral, why I deleted my accounts, battling anxiety, judgement, and insecurities, how to use social media without letting it consume you, if I’ll ever return, and a message from my teacher that changed my life with the way I view social media!  Let’s journey the...

In the process of preparing for this yoga retreat I asked myself what is most message is most important? What is it that I am really here to do? What things are non-negotiable? What is the content and structure that I am sharing? It sounds like a lot to figure out, but actually it was clear, simple, and easy. No confusion. No hard brain work required. The most important part of teaching or sharing … YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN PRACTICE! You should be an embodiment of what you are sharing. This...

Never in a million years could I have imagined I would end up doing this. In fact, I always rolled my eyes at anything concerning yoga and spirituality. To be honest, modern day yoga is weird! With more than 700 hours in formal yoga teacher training and accreditation on paper I still vowed to never teach yoga. It still seemed like a cringe world of hierarchy, flexibility, crazy hippies, tight yoga clothes, the reciting of ancient texts, spiritual sex parties, amongst a whole bunch of other...

For thousands of years monks have followed the same daily routine. Why? Why do they wake up at 4am? Honestly, why does anyone even wake up earlier than 9am? How important is a daily routine and do we actually even need one to begin with? I followed some advice from the morning routine of Buddhist monks and here is what happened! Let’s be real, most of us have spent a lot of our time gossiping or discussing our likes and dislikes of others. But why? What makes us judge others and how do we stop it? During my time in Tanzania, in a little village called Makunduchi I remembered the knowingness of non-judgement and perspective. May we grant others the compassion to express their perspectives with non-judgement. May we be able to accept each other. May we be able to see from each others perspectives. May we be able to...

What is your favorite day and why? Is it Friday, because that’s one step closer to the weekend where you can live out all of your dreams and do the things that you find joy in? Is it the two days that you are not scheduled to work? Is it at the start of your vacation? Two years ago I use to always wait for these days — my two days off, the weekend, or the start of my vacation until I decided that I am not limited in the days that I can enjoy life!   What if we treated every moment, every...

After almost two years of living abroad and being immersed in different attitudes and perspectives  my views on being busy have shifted. It’s a lot more than just packing up a bag, it’s the part that kind of goes unnoticed but that is actually the most important part to starting on this kind of journey. It’s a mindset. It’s a new belief system that you have to adopt that holds yourself accountable to changing our thought patterns Of course there are the actions — having a goal, a plan, and taking the steps to check things off of that list but in my opinion the most important part is your mental preparation.  I give 90% of the...

I walked away from an $80,000  career, a luxury car, and now I live out of one suitcase and I am the happiest I've ever been. That's weird right? In a world that convinces us that happiness is based on our material gains, who we know, and what we can do I'm exploring my thoughts on why I am experiencing happiness with far less. When is the last time you stopped to observe your life? Have more questions about full time travel and my life abroad? I've recently transitioned my website to...

Ever wonder why you're scared to travel alone? Why you don't trust strangers? Why the thought of a certain person, thing, or place makes you uncomfortable? Why you avoid certain topics? Why you're triggered if someones asks you a specific question? In December 2020 when I quit my job, emptied my apartment, packed my bags, and brought a one way ticket out of the US I thought I was going on vacation, but life had other plans and turns out I was going on a journey to heal. I'm not mad about it...

Most of us were warned about drugs in elementary school through the D.A.R.E program (Drug Abuse Resistance Programs), which in a nustshell told us don’t take drugs or you’ll die. But somehow we were still curious and it’s estimated that 47% of young people use an illegal drug by the time they graduate high school and among Americans 31.9 million are current illegal drug users. So why do we do drugs when we know about the harmful effects they have — addiction, criminal offenses, diseases, and...

I’ve been very open about my therapy journey because I grew up in an environment where therapy was for "pussies" or crazy people. Well call me crazy as hell because therapy definitely opened up so much space for healing in me and I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again … okay let me stop lying, I’ve said it HELLA TIMES and I’ll say it again …  GO DEAL WITH YOUR SHIT! But first, how do you know if you even really need therapy? On this week's episode we're talking therapy .. AGAIN. But hear...

I was focused on working on my abs in preparation for hot girl summer and after sitting down with Bria Foster I am now contemplating motherhood 🤰🏾🤦🏾‍♀️ Not only did Bria pack up her bags and move abroad ready to take on a new adventure across the world, but she found out that she was expecting shortly after her arrival to her first country abroad.  She shared her experience on having a natural birth all the way in Bali and I’m not kidding when I say she completely shifted my views on...

Yes, it’s too hard, yes it’s impossible, yes you are a failure, yes it will take forever .. If that is what you believe then yes, all of those things are true. Most people set themselves up for failure before they even start the task because they’ve already convinced themselves that they won’t succeed at it or it’s out of their reach. Let’s talk limiting beliefs and how I managed to overcome my own in order to live my dreams of full time travel.  Have more questions about full time travel...

Growing up as an African American what did you learn or know about Africa? The first thing that immediately comes to mind from my childhood and early years of hearing about Africa is slavery and poverty.  Then as I entered adulthood I began to wonder, "where exactly am I from?" I stopped listening to the agenda being spread on mass media and started to ask questions and do my own research.  African Americans are filled with dreams of "going back home to the Motherland", but where exactly is...

Over the last few weeks I've faced some challenging times in Sri Lanka; being followed by an unknown man, being racially profiled by another traveler, having a drunk man beating on my beach cabana wall at 2AM, daily power outages due to the countries economical crisis. Not to mention the ongoing world crisis. Whewww, it's been trying, but through it all I am still feeling happy, confident, and strong. Here is why! People tend to skip over all of the "little things" that lead to the bigger...
