I really love these stories. I’m not Canadian and have no Indigenous heritage at all. I do read a lot of histories and stories, but so many are from colonial reports or white settlers translating. Things like this (and indigenous accounts of history like The Indian History of the Modoc Wat) are...Read full review »

I love the stories. What I dislike is the intro. It's so long sometimes it takes up 1/3 of the whole track!!!

Sometimes the stories are funny. Sometimes they're poignant. Sometimes they're gripping. Sometimes they're thoughtful. Sometimes they're all those things at once. They're always the stories that bind people to land, so they're always important. I really feel honored to be able to hear them.

These stories are a great contribution to the undertaking of reconciliation. They are important listening for anyone who wants to hear the indigenous voices--unhurried, unedited, and uncompromised.

Personal storytelling is where radio really comes into its own. Stories from the land is not just a podcast. These are important, timeless documents. Hayden King is great, hosting stories from different parts of indigenous country. And the website has a map that pinpoints were each story took place.
