Great resource for songwriters
This is a gift for understanding what it is about a well known song that makes it work, be it melody, harmony, lyric, rhythm, arrangement, groove, you name it. It’s a great source of inspiration - just listened to the ‘Killing Me Softly’ episode and came away with ideas for: - varying the chords in my next song - ‘displacing’ the start of a lyric - dragging a chorus to the start for one of my songs - modernising an fashioned sounding jazz or bossa-nova song to something only a couple of decades old Check out the archive
