Became too niche and US-centric
Over the past few years this podcast has gone from “must listen” to “only if I’ve run out of others”. The change became really apparent when they stopped being on community radio and became podcast only. As a result, they became more niche, too long, and I think victims of their own success. I used to love that it was a linguistics podcast where about Australian experiences of languages but after they went online only it quickly because too US-centric and I no longer recognised my own linguistic experience in the program. It also lost its distinguishing factor from already existing US-based language podcasts.
