love it - looking forward to many many episodes passing so personal anecdotes fade in the face of more time sinking into topics and chasing down fuller exploration of matters that currently just get referred to in anecdotal passing. eg. andrew weil mentions starting into school from an interest in, paraphrasing, how different linguistic structures create different structures of consciousness and behaviour, or bolleli's reference to the saki-drinking brothel-spalunking zen monk, etc. so, essentially, awesome! more please!Read full review »

Tangentially Speaking was better than I expected. I really enjoy this podcast. Dr. Ryan is a great interviewer, and he's able to ask probing questions without being overly intrusive.
