Blurring the line between practice and politics
I really gravitated towards Tara, Jack Kornfield, and Joseph Goldstein when I first began exploring mindfulness. Tara and Jack seem to be injecting more politics into their talks and I find it distasteful. If I want to listen to political viewpoints, I’ll listen to a political podcast. This has nothing to do with right or left. It’s simply not the appropriate forum for political commentary. If you’re looking for great content without the political spin, Joseph Goldstein is the only remaining purist.
