In 2017, in the small Bay Area city of Milpitas, CA, Karina Dominguez  ran her grassroots campaign for City Council. Being fluid is not something I would have ever considered several years ago. Even the word itself, beyond referring to a liquid was, essentially foreign to me.  I believe that I needed to be finite. That what I believed and who I was shouldn't change, that if I allowed the flow of change and fluidity in myself it meant I was a fraud, a hypocrite or a liar.  Once I began to understand what being fluid meant,  even in the painful transition, was freedom.  Like a plot twist in a movie, where it...

I’ve become super obsessed with the phrase “toxic positivity”. On this week’s episode I’m sharing what it is, what it isn’t, why it is so incredibly damaging and what we can do to recognize it and stop. You ever look into buying a car? So, you find what car you want, you buy it and then all of the sudden it seems like that car is all over the roads? You had never noticed the car before, but now you see it everywhere. One of my daughter’s had an older, little, silver Honda CRV and it was a...
