“I enjoy the YouTube show, and I’m looking forward to listening to you while cooking, driving, and doing all the other things where I want to have a friendly voice tell me good stories.
I like the interviews, and thank you so much for introducing me to “Middle Eats”!
I’d love more information about how this show came to be. I didn’t expect to, but right after your podcast video my YouTube feed auto played the “how I shoot recipe videos” video, and for whatever reason I realize that it’s a bit like learning about the science behind my favorite food. I don’t think I’ll be starting a cooking YouTube channel anytime soon, but the fact that I have a better understanding of what I’m looking at whenever I watch one of your episodes, I feel like it gives me a deeper understanding and appreciation for what you’re making.
I would love for more in-depth BTS stuff like that. Maybe some of it instructional, but more like stories from behind the scenes. For example, what was your first recipe-show video shoot like? What did you expect from it, what illusions were shattered, and what did you learn from it? Even better, what was your worst shooting experience? Have you ever made an episode, that we will never see, because it just didn’t work out? Also, personally, I always ask everyone I meet what their least favorite foods are, because I think that tells more about a person them what their favorite foods are. Also what have been some of your most interesting restaurant memories? I know you focus on cooking at home, but I also know I wind up trying to cook the things that I get introduced to while eating out, especially while traveling, and I’m wondering more about those moments that inspire each dish you dive into.
Keep up the great work, if you do fail, I’m here for it all the same. I used to watch the Chevy Chase Show.”
