A review, of the Anthropocene Reviewed, by a viewer. Read. Listener.
I started listening to this podcast, a while after finishing the book, ‘The Anthropocene Reviewed’. Primarily, because I can’t stop thinking about it, and partially because I can’t get enough of it. I learned so much from the book, and I love John as a human being. John, if you happen to read this, I appreciate your work in all of its forms, and versions of you I have come to know through reading, viewing, and listening to your works of art. I relate in deep ways to having anxiety, OCD, bouts of depression, and an overall massive capacity for wonder. I have often wondered if I am the only person who, on a walk can notice one leaf on a spectacularly full tree - and appreciate each detail of it as it sways in the wind. Stopping to admire it, and then catching myself focused on one leaf, and realizing there is this massive life form at my feet; and all at once - all around me, and under me. Your writings, podcast, movie adaptations and truthfully your TikTok, have all made me realize there are other people who notice the little things in a big way. I feel relief, and excitement, that there are others who look so deeply at life. To conclude, I listen to this podcast daily. Even though I have heard it, and read it many times. Because it reminds me to listen, to look, to feel. It turns off my “auto-pilot”, and slows me down. John, I give you, and this podcast, 5 stars. Thank you. - Brayden Wilson

I’m not sure how you made geese sound so relatable and interesting but I really loved it

Turns out John Green sounds a lot like John Green. Since there is no visual component to the podcast, I’m assuming it plays the role of Diet John Green. Regardless, this single serve size offering was just as tasty as the larger multi-liter buckets. I’d love to get your take on the current state...Read full review »

Though I’ve only listened to the first episode (at the moment it’s all that is available), I have a feeling this series will be extremely enjoyable. If the strange facts told to you by a strange stranger at a strange college party had the depth of a well researched biography it would be similar...Read full review »
