Tennessee has a whiskey term all to its own: “Charcoal Mellowed”. That is a specific designation unique to the state, governed by the Lincoln County Process and laws protecting what can and can’t be called Tennessee Whiskey. We are talking today about that process as well as the unique state distribution laws with spirits veteran Jonathan Roth.
