The information provided in episode #84 was invaluable and helped me understand more about why so many practitioners—even hematologists—are afraid of IV iron. I don’t think my doc would take kindly to being given a podcast to listen to, but I could share it with her without potentially offending her.
Even with two IV iron infusions over three years, I have found maintaining my levels difficult because I have to wait for my ferritin to drop so low that I am non-functioning before an infusion is even discussed. Everyone is so afraid of iron overload.”
