Love-hate relationship with this podcast
The topics chosen for this podcast are very good, and being a person who treasures the New York Times I’m expecting a top quality show. However, the infotainment style of this program often infuriates me. I can not stand Michael Barbaro’s willful naive questioning of guests, his pausing to allow for dramatic effect, and his seemingly breathless delivery of things we need to know. I get tired of all the audio clips from other media outlets. And then there is all the somber or ominous or melancholy music mixed in. It’s a way over-produced presentation of news topics. Please, let’s get it a little more straightforwardly.

Thank you for this wonderful new offering. I am so delighted that this is a balm among the chaos in the media...and reinforces thought and discussion. So so happy.

Loved the first two episodes, Michael! Your editing is fresh and surprising. Great approach to content selection in the midst of so much noise.
