Bombs the line between sharing someone’s story and profiting from their trauma.
I really enjoyed this show in the beginning but as it’s gone on, I can’t listen anymore and have needed to unsubscribe. Zoe’s interview style feels careless and reckless and has left me consistently feeling complicit in listening to what I would describe as trauma porn.. I feel as though Zoe has a duty of care to the guests she interviews given the heavy topics discussed that she too often neglects. I’m often frustrated by her lack of interviewing skills, her over the top reactions, interruptions and leading questions. I feel for the vulnerable people on this show and feel Zoe would benefit from some more trauma-informed training and education so as not to cause further harm to her guests.

More reviews of The Deep
Like myself, Zoe has been interested for a long time about others lives. This podcast goes deep 😉 I love love love it and can not recommend enough. So inspiring, raw & helps people to see another side of something/everything. Good work babe & THANKYOU ❤️

This is a good podcast series but similarly to other reviewers, I find Zoe’s tendency to interrupt her guests quite grating.
