This was a good listen because the sound effects and music usage was incredibly well done. Seth Adam Sher should be proud of his work. However, the story is incredibly cheesy. Each of the characters could be role called in a spice girls song, as the tomboy, the dumb muscle, the foreign friend,...Read full review »

This show is so well written. I often find myself going back to re-listen to the entire show. So good.

Thoroughly enjoyed this podcast for 2 main reasons. First, the quality of the performances of the cast is top notch and allows the podcast to be enjoyed over and over again. Secondly the old time 1940s style feel of the show is amazing and I recommend this podcast to anyone who wishes to hear the...Read full review »

How much fun can be packed into a podcast?

A show that is fun, retro, totally modern, and a great adventure every time!

I really love the quality of this podcast; Pendant did another excellent job with Dixie Stenberg. It's a very difficult show to explain in a nutshell. Robots? WWII? Old-time radio sponsors? Phony (fictional) advertizing? Government conspiracies? And... dare I say, Nazis? An emphatic yes to...Read full review »

Jeffrey Bridges and Seth Adam Sher come together to create a heartfelt, unique, and wildly entertaining homage to OTR adventure series, down to the crazy commercials by the fictional Umket Industries. Dramatic, action-packed, hilarious, and maybe just a hint of romance, this is a podcast no OTR...Read full review »

Thanks for all your kind words, everyone! We're working hard to keep this wonderful show in the style of OTR, and yet update that style for 21st Century listeners. While Dixie herself may seem overly loud to some, to me she's just strong-willed and expressive! We've got an amazing...Read full review »

I love this podcast, Pendant does some of the most awesome podcasts I've heard yet. I'm subscribed to all their podcasts and am honestly enjoying all of them, this one is especially super funny and entertaining. These are great for passing the time at work especially, but fun to listen to...Read full review »

From the respectful nod to the radio dramas of old to the exceptionally clever dialogue and well-drawn characters, this is sheer fun from beginning to end! And make sure you listen all the way through, some of the funniest bits are at the tail end of these productions. Bravo!

Big Fun! I find myself forgetting it was not made during WWII, really puts you in the era. Has just enough cheese to make you believe it could have been on the air in the 40'sRead full review »

I admit I haven't really listened to very many old time radio podcasts, but this is a very fun listen anyway. It seems completely period to me, and yet they have these jokes and happenings which are obviously modern. They poke fun at themselves during the commercials, which are completely...Read full review »

Classic old time radio type program with a modern twist. Hilarious with a really interesting plot and developed characters that is just good entertainment, besides the metafictional subplot about the robot advertiser, which is just so bizarrely crazy.

It's a very decent production, but why does Dixie always have to yell when she says anything. I mean, how far back is she from the microphone? Other than that, it's an enjoyable listen.Read full review »

This is, by far, my favorite online audio drama. Maybe I'm biased because I'm a sponge for all things World War II (my grandfather was a waist gunner in a B-24) and a big science fiction fan, but even if I try to take my own personal biases out of the equation, I still am astounded at the...Read full review »

Original ideas, interesting story line and good characters. My only complaint would be the annoying ‘advertisements’ added in each episode that seem to get longer and more ridiculous each time. For the most part the voice actors are very talented; Dixie herself being one of the best! A few of the...Read full review »
