I’ll say it if nobody else will, the focus on female writers has dropped the quality of the stories significantly. I’m rapidly losing interest.

This podcast got me into podcasts! I came across it back in 2015 when searching for narrated Lovecraft stories but got so much more than I was looking for. It’s an incredible way to get people into reading: Drabblecast introduced me to so many brilliant authors, both contemporary ones such as...Read full review »

I found The Drabblecast in 2015 I think. I listened to everything hing more than twice. It helps me sleep 😜 But it also keeps me up when I should be going to asleep.🤨 That said I do like to smoke a joint and lay in the dark and let my mind follow the story, it’s better than T.V. I really love the...Read full review »

But this podcast introduced a lot of weird fiction, sci-fi, dark fiction that I don’t normally consume, and it’s blend is always engaging.

The best fictional podcast I have ever listened to, easy. 6 STARS!

Love the intro, a friendly host with a soothing voice, great variety of stories and I like the little jokes in the credits. Good work!

The stories are always fun and interesting, the music is great, and I’m always surprised at the 100 word stories and how much they can convey in such few words. Norm and the others are great narrators and every now and then you get treated at the end of the episode with a song.

Norm Sherman has a great voice and he picks such ‘interesting’ stories. I’m always happy to see a new episode show up.

This is the first podcast I ever listened to and still one of my favorites. Norm Sherman has such a smooth calm voice, he’s my favorite narrator of all time. The stories are creative, just the right amount of Lovecraftian Horror flavor to appeal to horror fans as well as sci-fi fans.

Being a “weird fiction” podcast, I can guarantee that The Drabblecast won’t be to everyone’s taste, and even as a fan not every episode strikes a chord with me. I randomly stopped listening to Drabblecast but am glad to be back. Great stories and narration and one in the eye for those that moan because they want to close down stories about LGBT etc. Norm is a genius and is right in sticking to his principles.

Norm, you beautifully maniacal bastard! I would give ten stars if I could. I literally laugh out loud, or cringe as the case may be, at your intros and holiday bits. Yes Norm, I’m mad about your bits! Kudos to all involved in bringing the Drabblecast to us strange and just not right listeners.

There are some great stories and Norm’s humour is brilliant. I love the weird humor of the show. Some stories are very bizarre but really open up your mind to story-telling from a completely, up-side down, angle. Like this weird winged, fuzzy monster sitting in the upper corner of your room - which just started talking in strange tongues in your head...!
