Listen now
Description
In this episode, we are pleased to welcome Jen Paxton to the podcast! Jen (pronouns: she/her/hers) heads up all things people at Smile as their VP of People. Over the past 10 years, she has developed a passion for building and scaling start-ups (3 of which have led to successful acquisitions) and giving employees the structure and support they need to flourish and grow. Besides this, Jen loves coaching managers, fostering a culture of feedback, and creating programs that will help build a sense of belonging. Jen is a mom of two girls, loves being outdoors, eating tacos, and drinking her weight in loose teas. Jen and I discussed how she revamped the employee value proposition (EVP) at her organization and why doing so was important for her. In today’s market, it has become quite difficult to differentiate yourself from competitors and, as a result, many organizations are beginning to focus on their employee value proposition. That’s why Jen will share what her approach/methodology was in re-creating her EVP, how it differentiates from her previous EVP, and some of the challenges she faced with this project. Besides this, she’ll share her tips and success stories with us. Keep listening to hear Jen’s thoughts and advice on all things EVP. Jen’s LinkedIn can be found here.
