“The guests are professional historians, archeologists, and other experts with an infectious enthusiasm for their topics. Some episodes focus a little too much on a specific new development at an English Heritage site for my taste, but almost all have at least some wonderful pearls of knowledge and many episodes are absolute delights from beginning to end. The recent podcast on eels for example is truly fascinating— stop what you are doing and listen to it right now! You will not regret it!”
