The thing I love most about this podcast is because although it is about politics and reforming America, it’s not coming out and saying “DRUGS IN AMERICA” “RACE IN AMERICA” it’s giving stories of certain people and different backgrounds on how those events have effected people. Maybe they have an...Read full review »

The creators of The Experiment take deep dives on interesting issues, and present the information in the very compelling way.

I’ve listened to about 8 episodes of this podcast and I’ve enjoyed them all, however about half of them really don’t seem to fit the premise of this show being about America and reforming it as a country. The topics really need to stretch to fit that description. I still like it, but I thought it...Read full review »

This podcast is 💯. Each episode is so interesting and the material so well researched and vetted. The stories are equal parts fascinating, infuriating, heartbreaking, joyful and inspiring. I recommend this series whole heartedly.

I am fascinated by American culture and this podcast has given me so many insights into the machinations of the USA. Thank you!

This is the type of journalism that changes hearts and minds. It is not about a cold and clinical recitation of the facts, but about digging in and understanding the nature and breath of the human experience. I am too a Cuban and and immigrant, having arrived at this nation not much younger than...Read full review »

Pretty much The Atlantic’s version of This American Life. I have found some of the stories told and topics explored very interesting!

This is an informative and delightful podcast to add to the rotation.

Thank you’d for diving deep in our societal past to reflect true stories that break us off for the norms of what we were taught incorrectly and on purpose. True American Stories!

So many journalists are moving into the podcast arena, but only few are naturally skilled orators; Julia Langoria is one of the few. She’s speaks in a natural and unaffected tone and has a way of engaging the listener. I appreciate her talent and skill!

big topics, cooked al dente. I find the interview format to be ill-suited for the Atlantic’s deepdive style, and frankly, less than entertaining. some episodes have a little of that production dazzle these kinds of podcasts try to emulate, but overall just feels Radiolab derivative (i think the...Read full review »

Wow
I am consistently impressed by this podcast. Every episode is more enthralling than the last. Kudos!

A lot of these topics are great, honest, and thought-provoking. The investigative journalism is often shallow and one-sided, however. There is often bad fact-checking or they lump everyone into one category rather than explore the nuance (the National Parks episode, for example). I really like...Read full review »

Thank you for this episode: about the problem with America’s National Parks. Yes! I agree, let’s return the National Parks. It’s about time.

I listened to this podcast episode a few days ago and I cannot stop thinking about it. I have to say, this is the most dangerous, irresponsible, and upsetting episode I have ever heard come out of WNYC. You’ve given this man a platform to speak about drugs as though, “he gets it” and we’re all...Read full review »

Episodes about women achieving orgasms. Dr Ruth. Do the people who produce this need to get laid or what?

100% my new favorite podcast…
jennrossellipsis via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/16/21
Insightful, well produced, and engaging. Covers topics that are hard and really matter. But the episodes don’t connect to one coherent theme really (putatively the idea of an unfinished country) — they’re just sort of contemporary political topics in isolation.
Ballisticraft via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/15/21
How is it even possible such a large proportion of our citizenry is so dumb? Sellout rapper too stupid to realize his “friends” are racist is the dumbest of all - he still believes jesus “saved” him. Jesus f-ing Christ!!

Couldn’t resist a podcast with sweatpants somehow making a commentary on our culture….so listening - at first - I was tickled and a bit intrigued (“When (& how) will they get to the culturally relevant part??”). I look forward to episodes each day, they are perfect for my commute & thought provoking, giving us a topic of discussion while prepping dinner. I just can’t see how this episode about a woman and her quest for orgasm ties into the theme of “our unfinished country”.

The May 21, 2021 episode was just what I needed to hear. I have struggled too. It was so good, I listened twice.

Just binged through all the episodes and have greatly enjoyed each one. Ms Longoria and Ms Hunt bring a brightness to their subjects. Looking forward to listening to other stories about our unfinished and aspirational country

In Rock Doc, you repeatedly refer to the nurse practitioner as a doctor. A nurse practitioner is a medical provider but not a doctor. I understand patients making this mistake, but as host of the show, I feel you should know better. My husband has been receiving his medical education for the past...Read full review »

The past two episodes have really driven home yet again how looney and dangerous religions are. People are far too influenced by mythology. Overall I’ve liked all episodes.

I look forward to each weeks published podcast, but I will say the last 2 weeks (Evangelical series) has most resonated with me. This hit home. My race is what the church has catered to the most, but what has made me most disenfranchised about religion. I applaud you for making this podcast,...Read full review »
