Where to begin...
… I used to listen to this show under the old regime, but have avoided it for a couple of years. I tried it now for a week, and it's more or less what I'd expected. Presenters flip-flopping between one opinion and another depending on the guest they are interviewing; "stories" regurgitated from tabloid newspapers and flogged to death (even over different podcasts); a slavish and embarrassing obsession with English soccer; and a general air of cluelessness and amateurishness. The presenters seem to think they are being arch / ironic / witty, but it's the sort of programme that you'd get if you stuck some media studies students in a room for a week, force-feeding them BBC Radio 5, and asked them to come up with a sports show format. They seem keen to have opinions (another technique used by low budget radio stations) so they are welcome to this one. If you are tempted by this for a commute, and can't find some music to listen to, or a book to read, then just look out of the window and watch the word go by.Read full review »

My favorite show on radio by a distance. The daft banter between the boys adds a light touch too. Great analysis. Love it.

These guys are great. Lots of insight and footballing awareness. A fair shake of humour too.
