“Oh dear. Enjoyed every minute of last year's podcasts, but this certainly sucked the life out of me. Look out for a mention of "implied anti-trust law exemptions" after 23 and a half minutes. I'm not joking. Plus, that Martin Samuel is an incredibly humourless cove, isn't he? Given no mention of what the great Danny Kelly is up to, I presume he is going to re-unite the Fabio/Grooverider partnership over on Danny Baker's podcasts. If so, I'll look forward to this immensely, even if you have to put a few quid their way. At least The Guardian understands that you need to keep things a bit light (e.g. Senegalese wrestling bodyguards this week). Two stars awarded for the only interesting bit - the minute spent on the players to look out for this season.”Read full review »
