“A.) The purpose of this show is to bring awareness, to keep important discussions alive, and to shed light on the efficacy of the American Justice System, not to actually solve crimes. However, during the course of my nine years of listenership, I have heard multiples mentions of their discussions being a catalyst in the resolution of several unsolved crimes. Even one piece of information leading to one unsolved case makes their efforts worth it; I’m sure we could all agree they do more good than harm.
B.) These guys are always first to highlight good police work before lazy police work. The procedural missteps and areas of opportunity they do underscore are sometimes so blatantly obvious and lazy that it’s incredibly apparently our tax dollars are being spent on people content with doing the absolute bare minimum needed to scrape that paycheck and overtime. Why do more when you can do less and still get paid the same? Let me guess, you need to be a “real detective” to assume the world’s absolute brightest are not lining up to take the detective’s exam at the Rockford PD, lol.”
