I truly believe these conversations are a giant leap forward to shift our consciousness away from the human-centric views that have gotten us into this mess and towards a more holistic culture. I hope more folks can deeply hear this wisdom, and make life changes. Specifically, the conversation...Read full review »

In a world spiraling out of control due to human greed and stupidity, this voice of reason gives me some comfort in the moment. Dr. Hagens, thank you for your perspective and helping the rest of us understand what is going on and why we find ourselves in the current global situation.

The carbon pulse is a bridge to unlocking greater forms of energy dense resources and becoming a multi-planetary species, thereby increasing our resilience to planetary extinction level events. If we embrace the stars, the species has a chance at long-term survival, if we don’t, there’s no chance.

My podcast discovery of the year! I feel alive when I learn. I feel alive when I hear Nate say “I have so many questions for you” — absolutely loving it. Kind, honest, sensemaking, rational, clear and concise. Nate addresses the most confronting of issues with a grounded and calm sense of confidence that makes me feel we will get through. Really one of the very few things I’ve consumed that feels 100% true. Thank you Nate

I’m not a podcast person. I’m addicted to this show though. Nate guides us with his innate curiosity into these complex systems and doesn’t preach or tell us what to believe or do. His voice is tinged with caring but also a bit of an edge. Makes these two hour conversations fly by.

The conversation with Sir David King was very compelling and instructive at several levels including the importance of science, climate diplomacy, how individuals can contribute and more. Thank you

Nate does a great job speaking with leaders of many fields examining the problems facing our civilisation and how they are interlinked. Highly recommended! He looks at the reality of the situations, not just talking in platitudes

5 stars for exporting Jean Marc Jancovici’s school of thought outside of France and to the country which most needs to hear it

Great for systems thinkers and futurists. It would be worthwhile speaking up a bit more clearly, when guests like Doomberg come along. Interesting to share perspectives, but the amount of semi truths on e.g. Germany was notable. Other than that… carry on, Nate.

Neurotransmitter “inner tech” means we can’t charge our electric vehicle for two hours before seeing a baseball game? I thought this guy was smart until this idiotic claim. This review is for Episode 71. I’m over 90 minutes in and not a single mention of AI yet. The conversation is plodding, pedantic and endless. Obvious points are mercilessly flogged and yet superficially treated. Only for fans of endless exposition.

This has always been a podcast about trying to make clear the actual costs of our current unsustainable way of managing our societies on this planet. At times, such as during Nate’s most recent Earth Day podcast, the clarity becomes almost unbearable.
