My personal favourite history podcast. Full of joy and made with love by a sensitive and conscientious person. It’s open to many sides of an accounts but also completely grounded in the facts. You got us so far and then - no more ! It’s a great podcast but a bit too myth-oriented for me . My mind wanders off I have been fascinated with this country for over 40 years and yet I mostly know Raj history .

I stumbled upon this podcast by chance and got hooked on to it immediately. I respect and love that the narrator tells us how dependable/ credible the source is for each of the pieces of information he gives. You know right away that he’s trying to be as unbiased and as true to the story as is...Read full review »

I feel sorry for a Brit trying to pronounce Indian names. That being said, the research is well done and the info well delivered.

This is not The History of India. This is a collection of rambling mostly antidotal tales about India’s past. I went through this for 90 days, hoping that today would be the day that he starts using dates to apply some cause and effect, or failing that, he would just move about India region by...Read full review »

This podcast is so beautifully structured that one can actually create a visual map of the geography and the events of that time. I got hooked onto this podcast in the very first minute of the first episode. There are a lot of people pointing out the pronunciation for the Hindi/Sanskrit words;...Read full review »

This is what could be called the labor of love. It is one and it feels like one. Keep up the good work. As for the pronunciation part, it is pathetic at places, especially when the word in question acquires a different avatar of its own. But the story makes it all worth it!!

Venkateshwra supbrabatham is not part of the Vedic corpus, it was composed in the 15th century by Anantacharya. So, please do a favor and fact check; not anything that’s composed in Sanskrit is part of Vedic corpus nor it’s ancient.

You’ve really worked hard for this podcast. It’s awesome, yet like everyone’s saying - “Hindi and Sanskrit Pronunciation is a bit awkward”. I know it’s really tough for non-natives to speak Pure Hindi. Never mind. Good Job! ))))
