Mike Duncan's history of Rome is a good introduction to Roman history told in an accessible, anecdotal manner. Duncan does a good job of blending the mythological with the historical. Serious students of Roman history will find this a bit elementary, but newbies and amateurs will find lots here to enjoy. Could use more in the way of sound / music effects. Duncan's presentation is clear, succint and un-laboured. He strikes an engaging balance and tone, augmented by his (all too infrequent) dry wit.
