Best NBA podcast, at least when Ryen Russilo is the host.
ESPN's pro basketball podcast has lacked consistency over the years. Two years ago, when Chad Forde was the host, the podcast was great. Last year, toward the beginning of the year and for most of the year some other guy was the host and the podcast became terrible. Toward the end of last year Frank Dale and Joe Mead took over for the crappy dude, resulting in a much better podcast. This year the primary host is Ryen Russilo. Without a doubt he is the best host since Chad Forde. Clearly this guy knows a lot about the NBA. He talks from the perspective of not only an avid fan, but of a true NBA insider. With Russilo at the helm, NBA Insider is, in my opinion, the best NBA podcast around. I am a big fan of The Basketball Jones; and while I really like what they are doing, I can honestly say that Russilo provides ideas and insight that, on the whole, are more informed and more articulate than all the rest.Read full review »
