“As a long time owner and rider, I realized I lacked even the basic knowledge of equine health and wellness. If my horse hasn’t been diagnosed, I haven’t been exposed and I’m blessed with easy keepers. I’m so thankful to have found this podcast to begin filling the gap in my knowledge. I was able to see and think of many different issues in a different and more clear way. Finally, the use of biomechanics to explain basic injuries and the impact on the entire system. It just makes more sense than how most people diagnose one joint in a leg and overlook the overwhelmingly lame entire horse.
Additionally as a human healthcare worker, it’s brought a new perspective and some relationships into how I practice. The iliopsoas complex is notoriously tricky in people too. In all of PT school and practice, I had never heard the papas being compared to and the same thing as a beef tenderloin, which I have now used with several peers and patients.”
