Spanning all topics, this is the best program on the radio. All others pale by comparison. This show is a winner on so many levels:
The production quality is flawless and slickly professional; Batchelor's topical knowledge is broad and spotless; he caters to a variety of listers and covers variety topics; he demonstrates a consistent respect for all of his guests; he is well-prepared and well-read for his interviews; his questions provoking, his anecdotes are thoughtful; he is on top (or ahead) of fast-moving news topics; he speaks quickly yet clearly and articulately.
An added perk is the program's in/out musical cues. This is highly effective. I listen through the commercial breaks specifically for those musical bits. They're mysterious and clever
