This delightful and well-produced podcast opens up a whole new window on French history. I adore any approach to history that tells the "inside story", the amazing detail, the view from backstage. Diana's impeccable research and excellent writing show us a new view of a turning point in history, a moment I thought I understood. I was searching for a new history podcast and I stumbled across this wonderful podcasst. Love that Diana is serious, but not too serious. Its not linear, but it is in the vein of China History Podcast, where she takes various topics and expounds on them. Well done.

This is an outstanding and accessible podcast across various components of French history. Diana weaves together fantastic historical facts with just the right amount of humour and opinion. She also seems to have got the soundtrack just right all in all contributing to a very entertaining podcast.
