I Still Think About How Much I Loved This One
It’s been probably a year or more since I binged this on a (very long) roadtrip thru the American West. I love investigative podcasts and I listen to a lot of them, but this is the one I always point to as the pinnacle of the form. Better, even, than (the very excellent) Serial. Latif, you are an absolute pro. Fascinating, personal, and thorough with a ton of great, original reporting… a look at an issue that used to be at the top of the national consciousness but that got subsumed by all of the nonsense of the last administration through the lens of one person whose life was upended by it. Just brilliant.

Maybe if we’re doing serious social justice investigative journalism, let’s widen the applicant pool beyond “guys who have the same name”? My guy, he doesn’t even pronounce it the same as you.
