Haunting
Shame on the people dissing the direction or narration of the podcast. It is informative and not meant to be persuasive. So the withdrawal of emotive expression oddly is what makes it particularly moving to me. I was close to the missing Dan case via association. It was heart breaking then, and to hear Loren’s voice talking about it on this podcast had me tear up again. It is true that there are literally step by step instructions on how to peel an orange or put on mascara on the internet, but when a person goes missing, a time when time itself is particularly of the essence, you are only figuring out for yourself. The amount of back and forth between authorities is frustrating and confusing. The volunteers in this case sound incredible and inspiring. I enjoyed that all avenues were explored, irrelevant or not, for me it helped shape a much bigger picture of a place I know little of. I only hope that Theo’s family have closure one day, the best case scenario being that he is returned safe and sound to them.
