You always lose when you don't try.
What to make of Ravi Gupta, who names himself a liberal, but makes injudicious statements like, 'Elon Musk is actually a pretty rad dude.'; and, 'Jordan Peterson makes some pretty good arguments.'; and 'Joe Rogan has a point about lab leak theory.' Worse he and his cohosts seems completely ignorant - despite constantly crowing about their 'army of fact checkers' - of the the work of virologist Michael Worobey who''s been on the front line of investigating lab leak 'theory'. Additionally Gupta et al, constatntly frame these discussions as 'cancel culture' and 'First Ammendment' issues when they aren't either. How about 'the people' put heat on Joe Rogan and he stops spreading covid/ vacine disinfo to his young, impresssionalbe audience, and gets to keep his show? That opption doesn't exist to Gupta. This is just an excuse to do some performative liberal bashing. Rogan's apology sounds legit to Gupta; racist slurs are a separate issue: nothing to see here. That's great but what about front line medical workers who are overworked to the breaking point dealing with the fallout of disinformation? Rogan 'who talks to everyone' never talks to them. Neither does TLD Podcast, come to think of it. Maybe we should look at the maxed out healthcare system and what that means to society and the economy and stop talking about this as just a twitter scuffle? Now that would be 'pretty rad' dude.Read full review »

Finally there’s an informed, genuine debate podcast. This podcast delivers what Left, Right, and Center and The Argument both promise and both fall short of.
