Perfect timing for me!
Thank you so much for this very important episode. It made my heart sing to actually hear someone speak truly about the chronic-ness of chronic illnesses! Yay! Thank you! I have watched generations of family and friends struggle with diabetes and auto-immune disorders and “female” problems. I have so much to say but not the words! Like many women, my whole life from infancy (yes, my mother was obsessive with both her daughters from birth and before, to be very very thin.) my life was a diet! And recently in preparation for a second surgery in five months, I fell into the whole “losing about twenty pounds would be helpful for the hernias and prolapses” and in spite of following the food plan exactly, twelve pounds appeared in record time! After the lady surgery with little to eat because post-operative issues, wham! Seven more pounds. My poor body, literally starved from infancy and forced diets as a child and teen, at five foot seven and one hundred and twenty-five pounds! Even during pregnancy I had to stand firm about the restrictions and unreal diets to keep weight gain under fifteen pounds when my boys weighted eight pounds or more. Again, the seductive siren call of “You can cure chronic conditions: Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lupus, PCOS (have all these) and yes, Ocular Migraines too by strict diets, obsessive punitive exercise (the hours my families and friends spend on Peletron, literally running away from partners and children and pets and truly fun things so as to be soooo perfectly healthy which will segue into perfect emotional and mental health! I will lash myself to the wheel of my ship (so to speak) and cover my eyes and ears to this invasive distraction. Been down that road too much. Thank you, Jennifer

Have listened to two of these podcasts, looking for insight- terrible at interviewing others- hawks her products and lends minimal advice or benefit- lots of good podcasts out there dealing w issues around food and eating- this is not one of them

This is a great podast. I love how it is different than others. Instead of just someone talking and teaching its a different kind of twist in the words of actual listners. Keep it coming !!
