The first show was fascinating and contained some very useful information about the Quiverfull movement. I do hope you are planning to have more episodes because the interviewers ask excellent questions and allow the guest to speak openly about their experiences.

The host is highly immature and the guests often are equally as immature. No depth and essentially making fun of church norms across the board while celebrating ridiculously immature responses to purposeful parenting or leadership within a religious organization. Kind of stupid. In addition, the...Read full review »

I wasn’t raised in a Christian home but am a Jesus follower. I think I’ve known people along the way with stories like this who’s parents were well intentioned and afraid of the “world”. It’s sad that Christianity is often taught Jesus + a laundry list of rules… I’m grateful I was not exposed to...Read full review »

Great podcast and interviewers. Important and fascinating topics. I’m addressing the few bad reviews for this that I’ve seen: Can we please stop shaming women for using their natural voices? Culture shapes how people talk. You can’t just unlearn the life long cultural training of how you speak...Read full review »

Listen. This podcast’s guests are so inspiring. The guests have gone through some truly harrowing situations. The hosts make this really hard to listen to. Their questions are generally good- but while these trauma victims are telling their stories- the hosts constantly mirror the guests with...Read full review »

Great podcast covering fundamentalist (mostly Christian) sects and their resulting harm. This topic needs to be talked about so much more, and I applaud the hosts and interviewees for bravely tackling it! I agree with other reviewers that the hosts could benefit from working on better...Read full review »

I love hearing about these cults and ways that people (women mostly), have escaped. I have to wonder when it became standard to speak in a nasal, little girl voice. So many female podcasters have adopted the Kardashian-esque, baby, whiny presentation style. When I look back at classic journalism...Read full review »

The host of this podcast needs to learn how to respond other than mmmmhmm, mmmm, yeah, ooohh ahaa. It was very distracting and like she wasnt interested or paying attention to what the guest is talking about. I would suggest for her to take a communications class or understand when and how often...Read full review »

I love this podcast. As a survivor of purity culture this podcast helped me feel less alone in my experience. It took me years of being out of purity culture to be able to label and understand my experience. I appreciate this podcast for educating the general public about this issue and for...Read full review »

I really enjoy this podcast, the guests are super empowering and the hosts are as equally supportive. I didn’t grow up in a fundamentalist church, but I like the insight this podcast gives. It helps me understand the motives and thought process of people I don’t share the same values with. Every...Read full review »

I really tried to like this podcast. I listened to several episodes. The hosts are clearly very young, which isn’t bad in itself. However, I felt like I was listening to high school girls reacting with no substance to real issues.

This podcast is so healing and cathartic for anyone brought up in a the modern evangelical church. Thank you to the hosts and especially the guests for sharing their stories. It means the world.

I adore this podcast for these sisters amazing work: they are thorough, respectful, curious, kind people who are doing THE work that needs to be done right now. I’m obsessed. They are filling this niche that was previously empty, giving a platform for women to be heard and for people to LISTEN....Read full review »

I grew up in a very Orthodox household with very strict views and rules. I always questioned my decision to stray away and this whole podcast has really helped me get past that. A lot of the stories told are similar to mine and it’s amazing to hear how getting away changes lives for the better....Read full review »

I love this podcast. I’ve been listening through it early in the morning with my dog and am almost out! Make more please!! I appreciate that the podcast treats their guests as both former fundies and human beings. They get the goods on the insanity that occurred, but also talk about things on...Read full review »

This is a great podcast! The sisters ask great questions, the guests all have extremely interesting stories, and overall it’s just a great dive into the true impact of fundamentalist sects. I’ve binged all the episodes in just three days and can’t wait for more!

This is my favorite new podcast this year. The sisters dive into the details of different fundamentalist beliefs and even better, women’s personal experiences in the church and their journeys out. Super compassionate and rich look into women’s lives under extreme beliefs. Could not recommend more!

If you’re like me and have always been interested in the cult like churches behind the Dugger family and the Plath family this is the perfect podcast. So many other fundie podcasts are nearly gossip columns but this actually digs into the realities of fundamentalism and evangelicalism. I’d like to hear more. This is definitely an important topic and I like to hear honest stories of people coming out of fundamentalism. With that said we need an introduction on the host and her background. I seemed to have missed that...

Love the topic and interview. A lot more organized than most podcasts. I wouldn’t mind a little more casual chatting/discussion between the host and guest. Still a good time.
