I don’t know how it took me so long to find this, but I’m glad it did so that I can binge all the episodes. This podcast is really well researched and engaging to listen to, I’m hooked!

I found this podcast by accident and the name intrigued me. She definitely delivers! The episodes are very interesting and encourages you to do more research. The topics are varied and the host obviously does her homework. Now I wait, rather impatiently, for the new episodes to drop. This is one...Read full review »

I have a big issue with this podcast you took someone elses branding if this was not a true crime podcast it would be ok but your branding is way to similar to morbid a true crime podcast you just added 2 words change this

The pacing and cadence of the podcast really made a fascinating topic drag on and on. Couldn’t finish it.

Very informative podcast and host seems to do extensive research before telling the history!! Some episodes are very sad but are very interesting! The host has a very calming delivery which makes it nice to listen to. If you love history and mystery this is the podcast for you!!

Love listening to this show, the narrators voice goes great with the stories and always has an informative trigger warning before each episode which is appreciated

I love the topics- but she sounds like when you type a in something you type into your computer for it to read back. I find it really distracting. But the topics are always cool!
Mommazoo1234 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/25/21
Many of the topics don’t seem very “morbid.” Hailey speaks clearly but could vary her phrasing and inflection more; it seems she is in a race to finish the episode.
MaryWoof via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/14/21
I love the topics of this podcast, but the constant music is annoying. I can only listen to a few episodes at a time because it annoys me that much. I would highly consider not having background music all the time. It’s really not necessary and distracting.

pls
please make more, this is the most soothing least obnoxious podcast i’ve ever heard 10/10

Agree with so many others that the narrator’s voice and pace is hard to listen to. Even at 1.5 speed, she speaks soooo slowly, and there are periods of dramatic music that go on way too long. Her mispronunciations are a big problem for me; if you’re going to reference someone’s name, for example,...Read full review »

In a world of loud podcasts that do not really say anything, I am overjoyed at finding a podcast that is well researched by the maker and her voice is relaxing. I am not sure if this is connected to the magazine from the 90s or the website I wrote an article or two for in the early 2000s. Blood...Read full review »

Good podcast... it’s really difficult to find American podcasts where the speaker doesn’t talk really fast, is irritatingly flippant or there is over-use of music, effects, stupid dramatisations... this one was a bit heavy on the music but otherwise, a good, accessible but appropriately serious...Read full review »

So well researched! Dark and fascinating, but also obvious that Hallie wants to share all theories and sides to the story. Hooked to the crazy subjects, but I definitely appreciate trusting the storyteller to tell me not only her take on a topic but also the historical significance and others...Read full review »

Top notch presentation of well researched topics. I think Hallie has what it takes to even branch out into other podcast genres.

All the episodes are wonderfully researched and thoughtfully prepared. This is a super underrated podcast for anyone interested in creepy topics that have been researched. Love it - thanks so so so much for making these! I’ll keep recommending the podcast to friends and family 😊

Stumbled upon it today and I’ve already listened to 10 episodes. Literally obsessed and she is so easy to listen to! The 3 parter about the Donner Party was riveting. Def my new favorite podcast!!!

The MCP is the first podcast I’ve felt compelled to support on Patreon, in spite of following and enjoying many others. MCP is special in many ways. I’ve always had a strange fascination with darker topics, such as true crime and mass death events, and never understood why; now I understand that I’m just morbidly curious! And not only that, but I’m also not alone in my curiosity! Thank you, Hallie, for making me feel less alone whilst also...Read full review »

Today was my first time listening to the podcast, and I chose the three-episode Donner Party series to start with. The material is very well-researched. However, in ep. 1, for some reason the host dragged racism and white supremacy into it and, after holding forth, said, "But that's a...Read full review »

I think the narrator does a great job in delivering content in a clear and direct way. She’d definitely is a person not AI especially considering if you listen to earlier episodes she adds more personal info intermixed to the creepy content

I’m very interested in many of the subjects on this podcast, but the drone of the reading is very oft putting. If a human with some personality performed the podcast I’m sure you’d have rave reviews.

Love the content but there’s no way the narrator isn’t AI. Listen long enough and it gets creepy.
