“It would be good if the narrator did a little basic research before reading and publishing such a classic English short ghost story as The Mezzotint. £2/2/- is not 'Twenty-Two Pounds' (04.30) - neither is the added word 'Sterling' in the story. As the narrator later discovers, the asking price of the mezzotint is 'Two Guineas', which is of course, Two Pounds Two Shillings, or £2/2/-. To patronise the American listeners by changing the text is to presume they cannot cope with English terms without helpful clarification, in this case, quite in error.”Read full review »
