It is a medical condition that shares some similarities with a stroke but has one key difference: the symptoms of a TIA are temporary and typically last for a short period of time, usually less than 24 hours. This is because in a TIA, there is a temporary disruption of blood flow to a part of the brain, which results in stroke-like symptoms, but there is no long-lasting damage to the brain tissue.
