The PasturePod for Christmas no.1!
I have listened to all episodes over the last summer and have enjoyed every second (including maybe 70% of the theme tunes!!). The style of the interviews is perfectly balanced, Michael poses tough but entirely relevant questions amongst the top banter and serious livestock/pasture chat. Lots and lots of relevant topics discussed, from fascinating number crunching on grass/livestock production to the valuable life lessons learnt by interviewees. From the practicalities of laying out electric fences, to the history and even birdlife found on the farms of some of the guests! Interviewees leave lasting impressions after each episode, they have all been inspirational, enthusiastic and fun. I admire them all for being genuine, honest and enlightening. The knowledge on a wide variety of subjects and enjoyment you get out of every episode is credit to Michaels interview skill and great sense humour (Mostly great!). Recently I have been able to share the podcast with my father (himself a new entrant to farming), who particularly enjoyed how Michael thinks outside of the box in terms of questioning and approaches subjects with an open mind. Michael, in light of your DMC (yes I'm a youth) at the end of ep.12, please please know that the PasturePod is valued! Very much looking forward to the next series, and prepared to wait for as long as it takes! The PasturePod is pure brilliance. Best wishes from Herefordshire.Read full review »
