“I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2013 and was directed to lose weight. This was a hard blow for someone in the gym 5 days a week and exercising at home and monitoring what I ate. I always knew something was wrong because I would be working sooo hard and losing very little. I didn’t understand what I was doing to my body. It was such a relief to hear about reconciling with your body and healing it over time. There is no cure, and that is unfortunate, but, at this point, I just want it managed. I feel so empowered. I realize I have consistently been abusing my body with PCOS since I was 15 (nearly 20 years) doing exactly the opposite of what I needed. Looking at how long I did this, I don’t expect overnight results, but moving in the right direction will work for me.”
